Adrian Bramantyo Musyanif, affectionately known by many as Pak Bram, is the CEO of Samali Hotels & Resorts.
Pak Bram, you're a young businessman still a success exceptional. Please tell us a bit about your background and how you ended up where you are today.
I finished my undergraduate at the University of Indonesia, Faculty of Economics, with Human Resource Management specialization. In fact, I took marketing management before, but after several semesters, I decided to go to the human resources management because for us, the people are the trump largest and most valuable for the company. When finishing my undergraduate, I had an internship with PT. PP (Persero) Tbk. as HR staff. There I took part in the planning and preparation of the PP University.
After completing my degree, I could be full-time in my family business, a real estate company founded by my father, Mr. Musyanif. Roles and responsibilities are increasing far. Failure, problems, etc. are still there, but I try to see them as opportunities not enemies. Currently, the holding company, I was appointed as a strategic business partner. Besides, I also have a great responsibility on his appointment as CEO of Samali Hotels & Resorts.
What is the position of the CEO asks you
The role requires the CEO to plan and guide the organization in determining strategic direction and competitive positioning successfully ?; think of ways on how to expand the chain and ensure that each property is implementing the use of high quality materials in its construction. In human resources, the role also requires decision making regarding the development of people.
Samali logo consists of three elements in the form of high-rise buildings. This means Samali must bring the expertise of the hotel concept, construction process and quality for hotel management, the latter being the most critical in the form of service excellence. If we ever fail in the first two, I think exceed customer expectations through sincere warm and impeccable service will make for other shortages. That is why our philosophy is called HOTS - Harmony of the senses; excellent service through the five senses: hearing, touch, taste, sight and smell. I feel lucky as CEO, I received the full support of my team Samali. To be surrounded by experts in their field have really helped a lot in the way of achieving our mission and vision.
