Yesterday, . and Temasek has published the results of research conducted in six countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines, with the theme "Economy SEA: Unlocking the US $ 200 billion opportunity in South Asia."
The results predicted that in less than ten years the digital economy in these countries will reach $ 200 billion, and Indonesia in particular is expected to account for US $ 81 billion.
The astonishing figures were based on the revelation that Internet users in the country increased by 19 percent every year and expected to reach as much as 215 million by 2020.
Speaking launch research, . CEO Tony Keusgen Indonesia was confident that the growth of Internet users would push Indonesia before becoming a major player in the digital economy in Southeast Asia. .According to the study, three main industries in Indonesia will benefit from the growth of Internet users: e-commerce, online travel and transportation online so the country is expected to reach 52 percent chance in. electronic commerce; 17 percent in online travel; and 22 percent in transportation online in 2025.
